Booking Notes

You can arrive anytime between 2pm and 9pm. We do not accept arrivals after 9pm.

Depending on availability, early arrivals (10am - 2pm)
can be arranged in advance for a 5 fee.
Check out is 12 noon latest.

To secure your booking we require a non-refundable 50% deposit
of the
total price. The deposit is non-refundable in any circumstances.
Please note we cannot hold a pitch without a deposit.

We are suitable for smaller units (e.g. 1-5 person tents, VW campervans, small
caravans). If you have a large tent (e.g. 6 - 8 man; or over 6 metres incl. guys), large
caravan or motorhome (over 6 metres/ 20 foot) we are sorry but, due to space restrictions,
we will not be able to accommodate you.

We do not have the space or facilities to accommodate lively teenagers.

We are, however, a great site for younger children.

To preserve the open, quiet and friendly nature of the site we have a strict 'no groups'
policy with a maximum of 3 adults per booking/ pitch. If you're planning to camp
as a group please do look for a different site as we are sorry we are unable
to accommodate you. If you book separately, but arrive expecting to camp as a group,
we will reluctantly have to cancel your booking on arrival.

Due to limited car parking space
extra cars are 5 per night, payable on arrival.

No cars allowed on site.

Except in extremely wet weather you are welcome to drive
onto the site to pitch. After that, save for good reason (e.g. disability),
please park in our nearby car park
- for a quieter, safer and prettier campsite!

At times of particularly wet weather the site
might be inaccessible to campervans etc in which case
you will be required to pitch on one of our hardstanding areas
which could include our car parking area.

Max speed = 5mph

During Bank Holiday weekends
there is a minimum three night stay. Please be sure
to arrive before 9pm on the Friday.

Quiet, friendly dogs are welcome but MUST be kept on a short lead,
and under control, at all times when on site
- no exceptions at any time.

This is a quiet site. No radios or stereos.
Gentle, acoustic instruments (e.g. guitar) and campfire song
are very welcome provided that other guests are not disturbed.

Noise is strictly prohibited on site between 11pm and 7am.
This includes vehicle movements.

Children must be supervised at all times,
especially when using the toilet/ shower facilities.
Please ensure all campers stay within the boundaries of the site.
Please leave the site as you find it and avoid damaging
plants/ trees or harming the wildlife.

Open campfires are NOT allowed on site.
BBQs and firebowls are permitted on the understanding that:
a) they are supervised at all times by a responsible, sober adult.
b) the grass beneath them is protected from heat damage - paving slabs available.
c) ashes are disposed of responsibly - bagged and binned; not in the bushes.
d) any firewood must be purchased from outside, or purchased from our shop.

Under no circumstances may any wood be collected
from the site or from anywhere in the village or surroundings.

Please pitch so that your unit is a minimum of 6 metres from any adjacent unit.

No fireworks, Chinese lanterns or water balloons.

Extra nights - prior permission for extra nights must be sought and obtained before 11am.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time
in which case we will refund any monies paid in full.

TOILETS - we have 2 toilets and 1 (free!) hot shower
which though basic are clean and functional. They are cleaned once or twice a day depending on how busy we are. However, this is a campsite so  if you are looking for hotel standard toilets as part of your camping experience then this may not be the place for you. Please also note that taps in the toilets and washstand provide only cold water although a kettle is provided for hot water if needed.
