Stayed here last night, a
really cute campsite with friendly and helpful owners full of local
knowledge. Dogs welcome, but keep them on a lead because there are
hens and pygmy goats wandering around which just adds to the charm.
Definitely stay again.

Dogwood is a very special
place - it's a beautiful spot, amid gorgeous countryside and the
site has a lovely chilled out atmosphere, thanks to the owners Katy
and Phil. We loved the 'no noise after 11pm' and 'no music or
radios' rules - and they were heeded without question by those
staying - unlike other sites we've since visited! We also loved
having a fire bowl: sitting outside our tent with a fire crackling
under a starry sky was magical. Great for local walks/runs and check
out the Three Legs Brewery and Red Lion Pub, both in walking
distance. We'll definitely be back next summer!

We had a wonderful time
staying at this lovely campsite, which is something special because
of the terrific hosts with many a tale to tell. From a practical
perspective it is sheltered with plenty of flat, soft, grass which
makes for comfortable sleeping and with simple, clean and
well-maintained facilities. It's worth the short pretty walk through
the village and across the fields to the Red Lion pub for an
excellent meal. Thank you, Katy & Phil. We will be planning a return
trip very soon!

Loved this site! Beautiful location and the
place definitely qualifies as a 'cool' campsite - lots of laidback
character with really friendly and helpful owners. The facilities
are basic but seemed clean enough to us and the shower was
absolutely fine - hot and free, which is all you really want. Great
to have a kettle and microwave provided in the information/ map
room. Loved the walk through fields to the Red Lion village pub and
the starscape on the way back to camp was just amazing - rare to
have such dark skies in the UK. Best thing was the sense of nature
on site with wild rabbits hopping about and I've never heard such a
beautiful chorus of birdsong at dusk. All in all we felt we'd found
a really special getaway and will definitely be back soon. Oh yes,
and don't miss Phil's delicious organic bread if he's baking.

I had a lovely stay at Dogwood, I really
enjoyed seeing the chickens and ducks roaming free, being woken by
wild bird song and church bells and watching wild rabbits play in
the evening. The site was small and green, and felt wild and not too
organised. I had a choice of three places to pitch in two different
fields. The fire bowls were great, the owners and their children
friendly, chatty and helpful and the location great. Having access
to a kettle and microwave was brilliant, the only changes I would
recommend were hot water in the washing up sink and hand basins, and
an outdoor shower! Thanks to Phil and Katy for a lovely stay, I'll
be back!
